It’s been a busy month for MCC! Our sincerest gratitude goes out to the organizers, attendees, and volunteers at several recent events for helping raise much-needed funds for client services. Here is a quick peek at each event.

Brighten a Family’s Holiday, Sponsor a Holiday Basket

For just $25, you can give someone a holiday to remember. From now until December 15th, we will be collecting donations so that we can put food on the table of our neediest clients. Each basket will contain a turkey, canned goods, fruit, dessert and an array of holiday trimmings.

New Montrose H-E-B Sponsors Emergency Pantry for Clients in Need

We are honored to announce our partnership with H-E-B, who has generously funded our Emergency Pantry needs for one year. On November 7, the newly named H-E-B Emergency Pantry was unveiled.

World AIDS Day Observances

For many of us who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, HIV still impacts our lives, whether you are someone living with the virus, taking your medications every day, and taking precautions to reduce your risk, or if you love and care for someone who does. There are several ways you can participate in World AIDS Day observances with us.

What secret did we reveal at our annual fundraiser?

An unsuspecting Carl Han enjoys dinner with his friends at Montrose Counseling Center’s annual dinner, The Secret’s Out. Just a few minutes after this photo was taken, we revealed our secret. Carl and Gary Giddings are two of the GLBT community’s unsung heroes, until now.

LGBT Teen Q&A Reaches Milestone

Do you have a question about relationships but are too shy to ask? Dating advice is not easy to come by for many LGBT youth, which is one of the reasons why Montrose Counseling Center launched Ask Allie. This month, the healthy relationships website reaches a milestone.

Our Stomping Ground

Montrose is and always will be a state of mind. Living, working, and/or recreating in this gorgeous neck of the woods is something we all wear with pride. Be the “one in the know” by putting a Montrose QR sticker on your bumper or laptop.
