DESCRIPTION:For 30 years AIDS Walk Houston has been and remains Houston’s greatest response in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Close to 10\,000 men\, women\, and children along with our benefiting AIDS Service Organizations gather in Sam Houston Park in Downtown Houston to raise awareness and funds to support HIV programs in the community. We honor and remember friends and family\, celebrate those who are living full lives with the virus\, and recognize the work still to be done.\nWalk by yourself or register as a team leader and bring friends\, family\, and coworkers to walk with you! \nRegistration: Noon\nWalk: 1 PM\nPost Walk Activities: 2-3 PM

DESCRIPTION:World AIDS Day is a day to raise awareness about HIV and remember the community members and loved ones we have lost to AIDS. Houston ranks 11th in the nation for new HIV transmissions. Over 26% of those new transmissions will be diagnosed with AIDS\, and there are 29\,643 people living with HIV in Houston/Harris County. \nWhat does it take to change these numbers? It takes the preventative and stabilizing services provided by AIDS Foundation Houston\, Inc.. That is what this year’s World AIDS Day Luncheon will accomplish. This luncheon helps end HIV transmissions\, and provides stabilizing services and superior healthcare to the Houston community. \nVIP Reception with Mondo Guerra – Thursday\, December 5\, 2019\n    Location: BeDESIGN\, 2016 W.
